House of God

Below are two photos. The first is the inside of the Jewish Tabernacle in the Wilderness, as God directed Moses to create it. The second is the inside of an Orthodox Church. Please note the similarities between the the two structures; specifically, the Orthodox Sanctuary, Nave, and Narthex corresponding to the Tabernacle's Holy of Holies (The Ark), Holy Place, and Outer Court. Please also note the Veil and Templon, which both serve to separate the Holy spaces. As you can see, there is much symbolism and continuity between the liturgical worship and worship spaces within Judaism, and that of Orthodox Christianity.
